      <description>&lt;p align="justify"&gt;The conference &amp;ldquo;Current stage of students registry system in Romania. Phases of development and implementation of the National Student Enrollment Registry&amp;rdquo; took place on Friday, 12 June 2009, in Aula Magna room (Economic Studies Academy of Bucharest). The Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation, through the Executive Unit for Financing Research in Universities &amp;ndash; UEFISCSU and National Council for Higher Education Financing &amp;ndash; NCHEF, coordinates the strategic project &amp;ldquo;National Student Enrollment Registry&amp;rdquo; (NSER), financed from the European Social Fund, within the Sector Operation Program &amp;ndash; Human Resources Development (SOP - HRD), priority axis 1: &amp;bdquo;Education and training for economic growth and social development based on knowledge&amp;rdquo;, major intervention field 1.2: &amp;bdquo;Higher education quality&amp;rdquo;, section &amp;bdquo;University for future&amp;rdquo;. Within this project, the conference Current stage of students registry system in Romania. Phases of development and implementation of the National Student Enrollment Registry&amp;rdquo; took place on Friday, 12 June 2009, in Aula Magna room (Economic Studies Academy of Bucharest). The purpose of the event was to present results concerning:&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;- Analysis of student data management systems that are operated in Romanian higher education institutions;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;- Identification of international good practice examples regarding students recording;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;- Definition of NSER operation and implementation requirements.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;The development of this project is the result of NCHEF continuous efforts for University management improvement and higher education quality ensurance Number of participants: 180.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;p align="justify"&gt;Representatives of NSER project team were invited to conferences and workshops of high importance for the higher education system in Romania. It was an opportunity for them to present the project and inform the public about the current stage of project development.: - The 11th National Conference for Higher Education Research (CNCSIS 11), organised in Timişoara, between 8-9 May 2009; within the conference, the project was presented to the representatives of Romanian academic and research community ; a discussion session concerning the project objectives took place after the conference. - UNESCO FORUM, which was developed in Bucharest, the Parliament House, between 22-23 May 2009. - The workshop regarding the reporting of university research and necessary statistic data for HE financing process, and the analysis of functional relations between UEFISCSU and the universities; the event took place in Poiana Braşov, between 16-18 July 2009, and was developed within the strategic program &amp;bdquo;Improvement of the University Management&amp;rdquo;.       <title>Launch conference of higher education strategic projects</title>

      <description>&lt;p align="justify"&gt;The launch conference of higher education strategic projects The launch conference of five strategic projects took place on 19 March 2009, in the Parliament House ; the projects are managed by the Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation, and envisage the improvement of Romanian higher education system. The purpose of the event was to present the projects objectives, the methodological and organisation framework (including the development steps and the expected results), and to initiate an information process and a debate of current and future problems of Romanian higher education system. The projects &amp;quot;Quality and leadership in Romanian higher education&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;Excellence PHD&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;PHD studies in Romania&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;Improvement of University Management&amp;quot; and &amp;bdquo;National Student Enrollment Registry&amp;rdquo; have been developed by the experts of the Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation, through the Executive Unit for Financing Research in Universities (UEFISCSU), National University Research Council (CNCSIS) and National Higher Education Financing Council &amp;ndash; NHEFC . These projects have been declared winners of the first competition of projects financed from the European Social Fund, Sector Operation Program &amp;ndash; Human Resources Development.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
